We anticipate moments. But usually what is thought doesn’t happen. This is not to say what occurs isn’t beautiful. Just different to the photo developed in our mind. My trip started differently to my thoughts, but turned into many beautiful moments, none of which could have been anticipated. As the train brought me back, I wondered what tiny moments were speeding past. By the time I saw something, pushed the camera shutter, the moment had gone. I dared anticipate once again, and with a click of 1/4000th of a second I had captured not what my eyes saw. Not even the image they communicated to my brain. It was a brief and beautiful, otherwise unseen moment which is mine forever.
